Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses and eyewitness memories within legal contexts. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers as well as received numerous grants. She has also has been awarded many international and national distinctions. She has offered policy and research consultations to numerous agencies and government departments from all over the world. Additionally, she provides consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional associations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
